RAD Technology Medical Systems to Construct Modular Radiation Oncology Center at the Presbyterian Hospital of Plano

RAD Technology Medical Systems has entered into a contract with Presbyterian Plano Center for Radiation Therapy Services, LLP to build a Modular Radiation Oncology Center at Texas Health Resources’ Presbyterian Hospital of Plano. The 4,000 square foot relocatable facility will contain a state of the art shielded vault and quality outpatient support space including exam rooms and offices.

Presbyterian is taking advantage of the inherent advantage of RAD’s System, relocatability. The facility is intended to be managed as an asset within the Presbyterian Health network. As services are added to handle the growing demand, the entire facility can be relocated to a new region allowing for expansion to occur rapidly without breaking patient therapies. “This was part of the technology model from the start,” explains RAD Founder Dr. Cheri Oquist. “There is no flexibility after pouring 21/2 million pounds of concrete on the ground with traditional solutions. The RAD approach yields a productive manageable asset instead of a concrete legacy.”

The project was designed by the renowned architectural firm of HKS from their Dallas headquarters. The development was also managed by services provided by Oncology Solutions. Funding was introduced thru RAD’s relationship with MarCap Corporation, a member of the Marmon Group of companies with collective sales of $6 billion.
